Nearly $100 million in 401(k) litigation settlements last year

Ignites is reporting that, while there were fewer claims in 2018 than in prior years, settlements are up, amounting to approximately $90 million in the aggregate. There appears to be less appetite to incur substantial defense costs, driving the settlement rate up.
